The Macha Tulama Cooperative and Development Association USA Inc is a registered 501 C 3 non profit organization. It is registered here in the USA in order to carry out its mission legally as the law of this country requires. The mission of the Association is to advance the objective of the Macha Tulama Association that our mothers and fathers founded more than half a century ago. That Association they envisioned mobilized Oromos from all walks of life for a good cause – fighting illiteracy, constructing schools, building roads and clinics and promoting Oromo self consciousness, reviving Oromo culture and history. In short, their target was preserving Oromummaa as our identity and keeping intact Oromo national unity.
Our generation has a national obligation
to preserve and promote this legacy.
